Open US DataVault Backup Professional. You should see this screen:

Click on Preferences.

Click Visual

Make sure to check 'keep backup window open after successful backups' and
'keep backup window open after unsuccessful backups'
Change close after 60 seconds to 6000 seconds.

Click 'Functionality' On the left

If you're not going to backup any other computers on your network, check 'Skip LAN Loading...'

We also suggest you uncheck 'Verify data after backup and during restore' if you have a lot of data and/or a slow connection (Cable / DSL / Dial-up) )as this will double your backup time. This is only recommended if you have a dedicated connection or small amount of data.

Click on 'Log'

Make sure all of the boxes are checked and click 'Save & Exit'

Click Schedule a Full, Incremental, or Differential Backup for the next step.
